(°´ 1-2) When I was a student, I spent many hours in the garden, often (A) to take / taking my homework into our little wooden summer house, or up to the top of my favorite tree. I loved that tree. When the wind blew strongly, it swayed, and I could hear the sound of the leaves. The songs of the birds sounded (B) different / differently up there : clearer and louder. I think I went (C) around / through all the Tarzan books thirty feet or so above the ground. I was madly in love with the Lord of the Jungle, terribly jealous of his Jane. Dreaming about living in the forest with Tarzan led me to decide to go to Africa, to live with animals and write books about them.
